Booking Terms and Conditions
TO BOOK
Please telephone us as soon as you have identified the dates required
to check availability. We will reserve your booking for 7 days to
enable you to send us the deposit cheque and completed booking form.
PAYMENT
A deposit of 20% is payable on booking. Please send this with your
booking form and we will then confirm your reservation details in
writing. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the booked date of
arrival at the gite. All payments should be made by cheque to Baycliff
Financial Practice
RETURNABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT
At the time of paying the balance a deposit of £100 per gite
is required. This will be banked and held as security. The gite
will be clean on arrival and should be left that way. Should the
gite not be left so, cleaning costs will be deducted from your deposit,
as will the cost of any breakages.
CANCELLATION
We shall endeavour to re-let any gite if you have to cancel for
any reason following a firm booking. However, if we are unable to
do so or have to let at a lower rental than originally agreed, you
will be liable for the balance.
Provided cancellation is unavoidable, these costs should be recovered
via your personal travel insurance.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that all guests should take out insurance
against unavoidable cancellation or to avoid the possibility of
a holiday being ruined as a result of expenses incurred by a simple
incident, injury or illness. We also advise that you take out insurance
against the risk of breakdown or accident to your vehicle on a self
drive holiday. We will need to know that you are adequately covered
on confirmation of your holiday.
DIRECTIONS/DETAILS
On receipt of the deposit you will be sent full details of how to
find the property.
OTHER MATTERS
The number of people staying at the property must not exceed the
number stated on the booking form, unless by prior arrangement with
ourselves. The property rental starts at 4pm on the day of arrival
and ends at 10 am on the day of departure. The rental price includes
bedding but not sheets, pillow cases or towels, but these can be
hired for a small extra charge. The client is responsible for any
breakage, damage or loss to the property or its contents. On very
rare occasions the property may be withdrawn for reasons beyond
our control. In such cases we will offer to find alternative accommodation
where possible. If this is not acceptable all payments received
will be refunded.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure that the information is as
accurate as possible, there may be instances where facilities or
features described have to be altered or withdrawn.
